What Is QWO®?

QWO is a prescription medicine used to treat moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women. It is the first and only FDA-approved injectable for moderate to severe cellulite in the buttocks of adult women is now available.

How does QWO® work?

It's not fully understood how QWO works in moderate to severe cellulite. The enzymes in QWO—called collagenases—are believed to target a structural cause under your skin. It's thought that QWO works in 3 ways: releasing fibrous bands, redistributing fat cells, and stimulating the growth of new collagen.

How many treatments should you receive?

If your aesthetic specialist determines that QWO is right for you, she or he will decide on a treatment plan, including total number of treatments. Each treatment visit may include up to 2 treatment areas. QWO injections will be given 21 days apart for 3 treatment visits.

Are there any side effects?

QWO may cause serious side effects including allergic (hypersensitivity) reactions, including anaphylaxis, and injection site bruising.

The most common side effects of QWO include: injection site bruising, pain, areas of hardness, itching, redness, discoloration, swelling and warmth in the treatment area.
