Candidates For Jawline Contouring
At Body+Beauty Lab, our nonsurgical jawline contouring treatment can help both men and women enhance their facial symmetry and overall look. Typical candidates for jawline contouring have a number of aesthetic concerns they want to improve, including:
- Extra fat along the jawline or under the chin (a double chin)
- Sagging or drooping jowls
- A weak or undefined jawline
- An overly strong or prominent jawline
- Creases and lines in the lower facial area
Treatment Options
At Body+Beauty Lab, we offer the most innovative and popular nonsurgical procedures on the market. During your consultation, we will create a treatment plan that may include one or more of the following treatment options:
Injectable Fillers – The use of injectable dermal fillers, like Juvéderm® and Restylane®, can be used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles on the lower face to allow for more definition and a more youthful appearance.
Injectable Relaxers – Injectable relaxers, such as BOTOX® and Dysport®, temporarily improve the look of loose skin in the jowl area, helping to better define the jaw contour. Relaxers are often incorporated into jawline contouring treatment plans with excellent results.
Injectable Fat Reduction – Kybella® is an incredibly effective, fat-reducing injectable that can be injected just beneath the chin to slim and sculpt the neck and jawline area. Kybella is FDA approved for under-chin fat reduction.
Nonsurgical Treatment – Candela™ elos Plus® is an optical and radiofrequency energy-based treatment that uses targeted heat to comfortably and safely reduce fat, fine lines, and wrinkles and to firm skin simultaneously.
Thread Lifting – PDO threads can be used during a minimally invasive, in-office procedure to gently lift the skin around the jawline, slimming and defining the area. This procedure is sometimes called a lunchtime lift and is highly effective for facial contouring.

Jawline Contouring FAQs
Does jawline contouring fix a double chin?
Yes, it can. Each of our customizable jawline contouring treatment options offers different vectors of attack to define and sculpt your jawline, including reducing a double chin. KYBELLA, an injectable treatment, has shown particular effectiveness in dramatically reducing fat under the chin or a double chin. During your consultation at Body+Beauty Lab, we will examine your face and listen to your concerns to help you create the perfect jawline contouring treatment plan to reach your goals.
How does KYBELLA work?
Deoxycholic acid, the active ingredient in KYBELLA, works to break down fat cells in the body. After they are eliminated, these fat cells cannot regenerate. Therefore, more KYBELLA treatments shouldn't be needed as soon as you have reached your desired outcome.
Am I eligible for a KYBELLA treatment?
There are a few factors that could make you ineligible to receive a KYBELLA treatment. You need to be at least 18 years old, not breastfeeding or pregnant, and you should not have an active infection at the treatment site. Before the procedure is performed, you should share your medical history and health concerns so they can determine if you can safely receive the treatment.
How many KYBELLA treatment sessions will I need?
If you are a good candidate for KYBELLA, a personalized KYBELLA injection plan will be created during your initial consultation to match your desired cosmetic goals. Usually, patients get between 2 – 4 KYBELLA injections before achieving their goals. KYBELLA appointments need to be spaced out about 30 days apart. You shouldn't receive more than six treatments.
What's the difference between wrinkle relaxers and dermal fillers?
Though wrinkle relaxers, like BOTOX, are administered to smooth fine creases by temporarily freezing your muscle movements, fillers are a different category of aesthetic options that increase volume in the face. Fillers are designed to contour the face and jawline, plump sunken areas, and reduce static wrinkles. We can discuss if you might benefit from a filler (such as Restylane® or JUVÉDERM®) to complement your BOTOX results to contour your jawline.
How do I know which injectable filler is right for me?
The type of dermal filler selected for your jawline contouring treatment, if any, will depend on the area being treated and your desired results. Your injector at Body+Beauty Lab will listen to your concerns before recommending the filler or fillers that will deliver better results for you. Since there are so many types of fillers available, it may be difficult to select the best for your needs and goals, which is why our team works to ensure you get results you are happy with.
What areas of my face can be treated with dermal fillers like JUVÉDERM and Restylane?
Dermal fillers can address signs of aging by smoothing static lines or adding volume. Fillers can be injected into mild to moderate parentheses, marionette lines, and fine lines around your mouth and nose. Additionally, they can add volume to your cheeks and lips.
How long do the results of a PDO thread lift last?
The results of jawline contouring using a PDO thread lift can last up to 18 months or longer depending on skin condition, age, general health, and lifestyle factors.
